Rockwell Engineering

rockwellRockwell Engineering in Macroom Co. Cork was established in 1981. Since then, they have become established specialists in cleanroom construction, HVAC services, heat recovery, carbon-emission reduction and general mechanical and electrical services.

Rockwell operates in all industry sectors, with particular expertise in bio pharmaceutical, medical devices, electronics, food and dairy, data centres and light industrial.

Encareo implemented Greentree for Rockwell with the core modules of Job Costing and Financials. Greentree’s powerful Job Costing module allows Rockwell to monitor all costs and outstanding purchase orders against each project, job and sub job. Detailed payroll data is imported in seconds via F.R.E.E. (Greentree’s financial reporting engine add-in for Microsoft Excel). In addition to importing data, F.R.E.E. is used to deliver concise financial information, which is presented in Excel while working online with the Greentree system.

The Greentree Financials modules are fully integrated with Job Costing and have proven to be a real time saver.
“Our previous system was not fully integrated and required various updates to populate the trial balance. We usually had variances in our control accounts when compared to the aged listings. Now, with Greentree, all that is in the past as everything balances”, says Mary Hickey, Financial Controller.

KIT Industrial Trading

KITFounded over 30 years ago, KIT Industrial Trading imports and distributes protective clothing, particularly all types of protective gloves.

As a distribution company, KIT relies on Greentree to handle their order processing, stock control and financials. With Greentree’s powerful Workflow feature, there is total visibility of all orders. Each member of staff has their own Workflow screen which shows a live picture of an order as it is processed through various stages — order entered, order picking, ready to ship, order despatched and order invoiced. In the event that stock is not available, orders then go in to the back order window and rest there until the required stock comes in. When the stock arrives, back orders are automatically released and processed through the normal processes. At all times a customer’s order is visible and its status is clear.

Since its installation in 2004, KIT’s Greentree system has evolved considerably. Justin Morton (owner) elaborates: “Our system is updated every six months by Encareo — it’s a painless process with no down time. Over the years, we have seen continual system enhancements, which is re-assuring as we can see where our maintenance money is going.

Southern Tapes & Packaging

They pride themselves on the core values of service, quality, innovation and trust. Their bespoke range of converted and printed packaging materials includes stretch films, custom printed tapes, protective packaging and made-to-size bags.

In 2008, Encareo implemented Greentree for Southern Tapes & Packaging to help relieve some of the issues caused by their existing software, which struggled to handle their volume of users and data. As a distribution company, Southern Tapes & Packaging needed total visibility of all orders. Using previous systems, this would involve the daunting task of running reports and wading through printouts to establish which orders needed to be processed. With Greentree’s Workflow module, this wasted effort is no longer needed and each user has a Workflow desktop, which shows the status of each order. Southern Tapes & Packaging are now better equipped to deliver great customer service.
